Fish Tank Art

I was just laying here chillin, watching a bit of Theo Von, and looking at my aquariums, or fish tank art as I like to call it lol.

I don't want to come across as bragging or anything,...but these scapes are sooo peaceful and feel like living pieces of Art.

As they mature more and more, they really are becoming their own ecosystem.

I have never changed the water in any of them, and I test the water parameters from time to time, and they are all perfect.

All I do is top them up when evaperation has lowered the water levels. You really have to have deep substrate ot be able to not have to do water changes.

So the poop and exess food can just sink into it and feed the plants, I could put auto feeders on them and I really would never have to do anything.

I am looking into buying micro biom, like scuds and things you can't even really see, that would live and produce rapidly and the fish could eat them, which is their natural food,

Then they would be completely natural tanks, I think that's what excites me most about acuascaping a tank, setting it up to be self sufficient.

The big 36 gallon with the skulls in it and the motley crue back ground (in case you missed that :)), is the newest one, and it is the first tank I used just regular dirt in the substrate, which I covered with layers of aquasoil, sand, and gravel, the plants really have been growing great in there.

I've had this post written for a few days, but I'm a slacker, so I am just posting now...and I am just doing one video of one...

I'll post another...soon...maybe...I AM a slacker after all lol
